My final project will be Trashcan Keeper that I proposed for the midterm project. Below is the overall diagram now I’m thinking.

The servo-controlled light directs the sound source detected by microphone array. The processing application displays information such as ‘Something is detected!”, “Detected object direction is ~~.” and plays warning sounds when the sound magnitude is bigger than the threshold.
I’m still searching for simpler sound localization algorithms that can be implemented in our Arduino board…
