Medium-Sighted Manifesto:
During the flow of time, it is necessary for a species to recognize that they are performing negative behaviors onto itself. In order for a species to ascend above the level of mere sentience, a universal recognition of the value of the members of this species must occur. The species must rise above the short term limited needs of the few, and provide to the greater needs of the whole.
When a species recognizes that all of its members have an equal right to survival, exploration, and fulfillment, it behooves the species to attempt to stop short sighted, catastrophically destructive behavior. The self-evident cause of this behavior stems from the needs of the few to maximize their selective earthly desires at the expense of the species.
Attempts have been made to reign the current powers to constrain their unchecked greed and act in good faith for the greater good. This has met with numerous examples of failure and incompetence. The piss-poor regulations devised to enforce good behavior has failed. The core issue being the lack of a trust-able governing body to enforce and raise our visions of the future that is not short sighted, but medium sighted.
Our only recourse my friends is to form a council that we can be sure will be impartial and not tied to any short term gains. First, we will create a council of 101 where each individual is forced to take the BURDEN (giving up all joys/benefits of life.)
Take the Burden
Oath of poverty: Will receive no income. Council members will be trapped in separate areas that handle all food, and living needs.
Oath of the mission: Will have a singular focus that they will chase to improve that aspect of life.
Oath of humility: Will no longer have a name/title/rank other than council member. They will undergo plastic surgery to remove all personal identity.
Oath of solitude: they will receive no human contact.
Oath of the bland: they will receive IV feeding so they will not be biased towards a specific food.
Oath of celibacy: They will be forced to undergo genital mutilation so they are no longer able to enjoy the joys of the flesh.
Oath of agnosticism: They will renounce all religions, with the understanding that their new religion is the human religion
Oath of Kantism: Hypothetical and Categorical imperatives. They will not be able to directly see the identities of others.
Oath of death: After undergoing a 5 year training and transition period, they will be killed after a 5 year term.
The council will be entrusted to direct 1/2 of the worlds capacity, to ensure that adequate resources will be directed to identifying and enforcing the worlds well-being. The council members will be selected from interested members in their 30s who have a reasonable expectation of a long life, so they will know that they are giving up a potential future for the betterment of mankind.
