Microcontent for mobile phones
![]()
We've been using a free app for moible phones in Japan called nooper that delivers microcontent to your phone. Things like reminders that you set up (take out the trash!), rain alert for specific areas, and website update notifications. Pretty simple but very useful.

Does the rain alert noopie notify when rain is likely to fall in a region you have defined in a user profile, or is there location sensitivity?

You just set the rain alert in a pull down menu on your phone - also just discovered you can get updates from slashdot emailed to you - similarly selected from a list of topics on the phone like debian, linux, mozilla, toys...cool!
