If the war profiteers were not running the US Govt. I might be excited about Dr. Kazerooni work. With the Bush /Chaney administration invading Iraq for profits, I see BLEEX (the Berkeley Lower Extremities Exoskeleton) in a very different light. The building of a super soldier is not a noble pursuit for any respectable human being. This Exoskeleton is a tool akin to landmines, with the intent and purpose to destroy sons, daughters, mothers and fathers. I hope that the Interactive Media department is smarter then making a Faustian bargain with the DOE, DOD, et al. The sad irony is that Cal, which was instrumental in stopping the war in Vietnam, is now making headlines being on the forefront of weapons development.
