Back On-The-Line
So, after an interesting week of stuff not working, things have begun to start working again. I know everyone is thinking that black magic was to blame for the server crashing, and that may indeed be true. however, there was no magic involved in the recovery of the server, and everyone should give a warm thanks to our wonderful new lab manager, Marientina Gotsis, who spent many hours salvaging our precious data and reconfiguring the blog you are now (again) looking at. hooray!

just tried to upload a small image and got the following:

Got this one after trying to rebuild my blog files:

mkdir /www: Permission denied at /var/www/html/mt/lib/MT/FileMgr/Local.pm line 104

hm, ok --
will look into this problem, but should be a simple fix... permissions were fixed on the main blog level, but forgot to check on the individual levels...

can anyone else verify the permissions or image uploading problem on their own blog? I just tried rebuilding all my files and it seems to work ok...

well...it is up and you're welcome! not quite the welcome gift i wanted but hey...it is a miracle it all works anyway.
everything was reconfigured on a new o/s and web sever so you may still get some errors. just report and we will deal with them one by one.
it was a LONG searh and rescue mission and i got to brush up on my 'vi' skills...now isn't that useful?
