E3: Odd MMORPG Marketing

Saw this ad for a massively-multiplayer game called Ryzome. Something about it just seemed...off. I think it's the conservatively-dressed teenage girl standing on what looks like a nude beach.
I guess they were trying to say that "it's like you're actually there." Maybe if she'd been wearing a swimsuit at least? As it is, it seems more voyeuristic than they were probably intending...

If it weren't for the fact that the girl looks like Jess, I would never even notice this. It doesn't seem voyeristic to me. It feels more like 'hey this is interesting.' She has that pondering tone and her whole outfit and pose is conservative yet feminine while pondering. As an ad it isn't well thought out but I have spent way too many hours pondering in art history classes...I am too biased. I think it felt off to you because it is simply a naive approach.
