Digital Street Game

Digital Street Game is a project developed at Intel Research's People & Practices Group where players claim turf around New York City by pulling off stunts, taking digital pictures of said stunts and uploading them to the Digital Street Game website. A stunt consists of three elements: a prop, a game and a wildcard, each randomly assigned by the website. Other players rate the resulting stunts, determining how difficult it will be to challenge the newly claimed turf for taking over.

The object of the game: "To dominate New York City through public acts of stupidity, foolishness, and fun".

I miss New York.

New York misses you.

Too bad you aren't here, because I just went and signed up for this mo fo. My first stunt is going to be at Norfolk/Delancy and involves fire escape, chess, and art opening.

This sounds just a bit like the Go Game - a few experiements in this area all reinforcing the idea that technology is being integrated into street theater, performance, and collaboration with strangers - a good thing!

Justin: There's only one thing worse than frames and that's iframes... and my blog has BOTH!!!

Rosie: That's frickin' awesome. Keep me posted with details and I will post an update on your team's progress. By the way, who will you be recruiting for your team?
