Learning by Doing

For my first film project in CTPR 519/521, I chose to document The Maxx 2, an event which in addition to having an amazing line-up of local electronic talent, also featured a DJ set by the IMD's very own Nohaptimus Prime. Last night, I spent five and a half hours shooting footage in the loud, crowded Hangar 1018, a really awesome gallery space with a lot of potential for interactive installation/event-based projects (HINT HINT). It was pretty exhausting, but looking at my footage today, it was definitely worth the effort. Great performances, great art and a great atmosphere.

Pictured from top to bottom: Mashup Soundsystem, DJ Nohaptimus Prime (SELECTAH!), Tehn, Circuit Scarecrow.

Many thanks to Noha, Mihai and Amy for their invaluable assistance.

The third picture down is of Tehn, famous as the creator of "The Box" that some may have seen being used by the man known as Daedelus.
