You Know What I Did Last Summer

A game I worked on this summer has just come out on CartoonNetwork.com today. I guess its called "Calling All Titans" (news to me!). Its part of the Powerplay series which means you can download it and play for 20 minutes, but after that you have lay out some cash. So that kinda sucks. But check it out: Calling All Titans

What what is this written in? Was it a 2D engine?

Its all Flash. Once its delivered to Cartoon Network, they use some kind of software to put it into an executable that runs it full screen and keeps track of how much of the trial time is used up, etc. The 2D tiling engine that runs the main world areas was written by a co-worker of mine. I wrote another 2D tiling engine that powers the boss sequences... its more of a side-scrolling platformer affair (a-la megaman). Unfortunately, I don't think you'd probably be able to make it to one of the bosses in the first twenty minutes.

an .exe? that seems to be an excellent use of flash's cross-platform-ness...
