Give It To Me

Beginning yesterday and going all week, my friend Corey is installed in the front window of Machine Project playing and re-working Busta Rhymes' "Give it to Me", which he tells me originally featured the vocal talents of Mariah Carey. The installation will culminate with a reception on Friday night. Here are some additional words from Corey:

1) A really long concert
2) An algorithm that will not yield the potato salad even if all the motions of preparing the salad are performed as if the potatoes were there.
3) A dutiful assemblage of things associated by the color Turquoise.
4) A reverse Turing Test.

Corey Fogel: drums, keyboard, vocals, glockenspiel, musical arrangement, asbestos-repellent jumpsuit, rainbow pillow case, backdrop, blue tape.

i searched high and low for info on a busta song called "give it to me". nothing.

but... busta did do a song with mariah carey called "i know what you want" that has to be the song in question. i found the music video on the web and now i recognize the song... one of those ubiquitous tracks you couldn't avoid hearing several years ago.

oh and i think he is playing 3 or 4 hours a day in the afternoons.
