Sascha Pohflepp and Jakob Schillinger have recently created and exhibited a series of projects that investigate how we create our identities in Flickr. I think its a potent territory for exploration as we're increasingly asked to attempt to encapsulate our essence into easily digestible formats. Pohflepp and Schillinger really nail it with their trio of projects. I am particularly drawn to Egoshootr, an installation where participants can stage prototypical ego-boosting flickr shots (party photos, airplanes, etc.) with miniature props on a table made to function as a mini-photo studio of sorts. Egoshootr is accompanied by a pretty funny little video called My Sunset, which you should definitely check out.
