Mike was gracious to help me set up another projector to the Dance Chamber. He cut a hole in the ceiling and set-up a projector to project an image onto the floor. Take a look at how the room looks now.

Take a look at a user test I did on Friday, Jan 16th. My goal was to incorporate assets that I had put together from last semester and make some correlations between my film Mujer Maiz and the interactive dance experience. Special thanks to Veronica, Ethan, Mike, Jamal, & Andre.

Today, I conducted a small experiment that connects the y-axis of the Wiimote to movie clip. The Wiimotes is controlling the speed of the video. My goal was to determine whether controlling the speed of my film, Mujer Maiz would be significant information for users to understand the narrative of the interactive dance experience.

ahhhh yeah! A NEW PRESIDENT!!!
and I'm on my WAY TO PROGRESS....
Here is some art work that I worked on today and yesterday.
The goal is that when users step on one of the color blocks that are down on the ground the cornfield silhouette image will appears that pertains to that color. This is a rough draft to begin to code the interactivity.
user steps on the black block and the black backdrop appears on the screen

user steps on the blue block and the blue backdrop appears on the screen

user steps on the red block and the red backdrop appears on the screen

user steps on the white block and the white backdrop appears on the screen
My question and iteration: how do I show movement while traversing through a cornfield labyrinth within a 2D space? My mission create an immersive environment with two projectors. Here are my first iterations done by yours truly with her lil Flash & Photoshop skills.(i whipped it up really quick) But, check back soon cause Daniel, got some kool designs cooking in the oven...
for now, mira a lo
Hot out the oven! These Cornfield computer graphic images were designed by Daniel Ponce. Que, WOW! It is really great to see how other artist interpret your ideas and the magic that is created with collaborations. Muchas gracias, Daniel!
In this experiment, my goal was to track user movement using the Wiimote on the right hand and left leg. I chose to track the Y-axis on both Wiimotes in order to find a value that I could then program into Isadora, a visual computing program designed for interactivity. Special thanks to my dancer Ethan and Dr. Eric Wade (Interactions Lab, Viterbi School of Engineering) for his advice on coming up with this study.
