Today, I conducted a small experiment that connects the y-axis of the Wiimote to movie clip. The Wiimotes is controlling the speed of the video. My goal was to determine whether controlling the speed of my film, Mujer Maiz would be significant information for users to understand the narrative of the interactive dance experience.

Once users enter the space. They look down at the ground and pick up a WiiMOTE. The cornfield image will fade away once the user puts on the WiiMOTE glove.

Down below are two example from tonight's user experiment
special thanks to JB (for showing off his biceps in these video clips lol)
WiiMOTE controlling the movie clip of Mujer Maiz
WiiMOTE controlling the LadyBUG
ladybug design is by Daniel Ponce and animation was done by Lulu Cao (muchas gracias amigos!)
what did i get from this experiment:
I found it to be more amusing to control the ladybug animation then to control a movie with a narrative. I was able to make the Wii control the movie using the y-axis. The data is raw and I still need to conduct a few more user test adjusting the numbers. Still this was a start.
