Believe in serendipity… I was enjoying a fleeting seasonal moment when Tina (my dog) encourages me to feel muddy earth in my step, smell the rich decay of autumn, and hear crunching leaves announcing our presence to squirrels. We passed by two workers enjoying their fast food and media consumption. All four of us were occupying the same moment and having profoundly different experiences. Consumption, distribution, and progress juxtapose creation, harmony, and nature. The scene felt representative of a larger cultural phenomenon and paradigm shift in values that I’m exploring as part of my thesis.
