Thesis Show Layout (revised)

THESIS SHOW B4.jpg

Here is a new diagram that addresses some of the issues discussed last night in class, a looped circulation path, etc. This configuration also gives Kellee and Jenova the opportunity to "link" their exhibits.

what's the 5' x 5' grey square? Also, did you take into account the supports that jut out from the middle on the north and south walls?

Brad, this is a preliminary layout/sketch and the columns will be shown once we have a more accurate "as built" drawing of the space (want to volunteer?). FYI, the 5'x5' square is for scale.

Also keep in mind that most of the 15'x15’ exhibits can be swapped with a similar exhibits (I.E. we may decide to switch Julie with Michael).

Do we want to persue 'as built ' blueprints, or go in an measure? I'd be willing to pair up with someone and measure things out.

Alan is looking into blueprints and he may also have a lighting designer for us. I asked him also about the walkway path to kellee.

I suggest we try to get blueprints AND measure the space (“as built” dimensions are frequently different than architectural plans). Brad, you may want to team up with Jenova on this as he's starting a simple 3D model of the exhibition.

thanks again, andrew! brad - i'm pretty much living here at the ZML/INITLab every night and weekend so anytime you are around give a call and I can help you measure the space.

rock n roll!

I'm excited about working with the lighting. I'd like to maybe make a ring of light around my space, if possible.
