This may be slightly old news, but animaatiokone industries just demoed a new iteration of Kick Ass Kung Fu, an immersive kung fu simulator where your moves are translated (with some extra flash :) to your on screen character as you fight your way through the game. Having fun and getting a great workout at the same time while you feel badass? Sign me up!

Interesting... how does it tell whether the contact you're making is "hitting" the enemy or you getting "hit"? It looks like it's all about velocity (and yelling). So the optimal strategy would be to go in waving your arms and screaming, right? I know more than a few spastic fourth-graders who would dominate at this.
It is definitely a cool start and the best thing since the Power Pad for getting physicality back into a mainstream notion of gaming.
I can't tell whether Simon Penny would applaud this or roll over in his (unoccupied) grave. Though he definitely got the ball rolling with those little chinese dragon (cough-Hadouken-cough) things in Trace.
