The Fountain
New amazing looking Aronofsky movie that I missed until now. Reminds me of Kubrick with the 2001 visuals and white titles.
Synopsis:
The Fountain is an odyssey about one man's thousand-year struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th century Spain, where conquistador Tomas Creo commences his search for the Tree of Life, the legendary entity believed to grant eternal life to those who drink of its sap.

With David Bowie working with the composer, there might be a new Major Tom song that comes with this movie.

The Space Oddity + 2001 Space Oddysey connection makes sense, but I have a hard time disconnecting the Bowie-Ziggy icon and drug addiction themes, and applying them to a new story. We'll see..
I like the dark electronic of both Mansell and Bowie (when he goes there). Should produce some great results.
