@swiscombe Another thing worth noting is that the attendance statistics I quoted were from 2010, and WWoHP didn’t open until June of 2010. So that 32% increase came after the land existed for only half a year.

@Murdock @Cross That’s definitely the problem, but isn’t that a similar problem with keeping TV series viewers tuned in from week to week? There has to be something that makes people want to follow you down the rabbit hole. I would argue that there are a lot of people interested in engaging (See: The Dark Knight Rises ARG, ilovebees, cloudmakers.org)

@Simon Would be an interesting research experiment to look into the ideas of ”scope” and ”magnitude” in games and virtual worlds. Doesn’t seem to be a problem with screens, because movies still seem to be able to capture it. Something about making it accessible seems to make it smaller.
