Good stuff! I agree with the general consensus that you did a great job blurring the line between fact and fiction. I'm completely sold, also, on the Form of your atlas... I think creating an educational text about some aspect of your world should be a required assignment for this class.

Answers to review questions:

1. Moctezuma II. The system split the rule of the empire between two individuals, respectively governing military and domestic affairs.

2. It was a 5 year drought, which led to a famine across the Aztec Empire. This forced an expansion north of the Mississippi Delta, into Lakota territory.

3. The skirmishes and battles were increasingly planned between Lakota and Aztec forces as training. Losers became indentured servants or gave up crops, winners gained servants, food and prestige.

4. All of the above.
