GPS-enabled Photos for everyone!
Been a busy 2 months, so I have a lot to talk about...
But right now I want to talk about GPS and photography. Specifically: this.
Now some of us are familiar with semi-pro and pro cameras that accept GPS modules. Cool. But Sony's device just a bit cooler, as its external-device-that-works-so-long-as-you-set-the-time-in-your-camera implementation means it works with practically any camera that records exif data...basically all cameras out there. The bundled software will just look at all the timestamps and add GPS data to all your pictures. Really quite simple!
Me, I'm not a big Sony fan (mainly because of the video game side of things) but I'm glad they're bringing out this really very nifty piece of equipment that all digital photo takers can make use of.
I'm DEFINITELY buying this for use with my latest acquisition...

Wonder if they'll have an open API for other uses of this, or just alternate software. Also I wonder if this writes Zooomr-readable data, or if it's compatible with whatever GPS hacks exist for Flickr!
