DOOX3D ENGINE Specification
This is the 3D Game Engine I programmed when I was working in a Korean game design company for 2 years from 2002 to 2004. It was originally a 2D game engine. But I implemented every 3D part of this engine on top of that including 3D scene related main framwork, character animation(my own file format/avatar system/skin animation), collision detection, simple physics, 3ds MAX studio export plug-in for graphic assets, scene management, octree based culling, view frustum culling, Vertex/Pixel shaders and so on. Screen shots inside the documents are from a racing game I was working on with this engine.
I started programming my 3D engine from Direct3D v7.0 and the latest version is now Direct3D 9.0 based with HLSL support.
What I'm trying to achieve with this engine is designing a game which contains truely innovative elements in it. I don't think a good engine always makes a good game but I believe lots of great innovation can be driven by, but not only by, what an engine can supports technically.

Hello,
I love the specs on this program! I am an Artist/ 3d animator. Currently I'm flushing out a game idea, which is complimented perfectly by Doox.
The characters and environments are being drawn and collected. some from reality and some imagined. And would like to know what your plans are for Doox.

Hi, I want to listen to more of your game idea. Also, is there any website of yours for me to see your works? Give me an email to doopark@usc.edu. Thanks.

I'm currently finishing scanning and transfering my samples to an online comp. I'd like to keep the ideas basic cause ive had ideas stolen before. but ill provide plenty of examples, I'm working on the game interface design now.
what is the situation of your program. do you own it?

Yes, I do own my engine. Also I'm currently re-newing my engine. The codes are being re-written from the scratch and it's entirely from me. There will be new features in next version, too. I tried to look around the link you sent by email but I couldn't access it. I just want to see any of your work just like my blog here. Give me an email. Thanks.
