I tried to run it without flash 8 player, it still runs, but the text didn't pop up. I think we should put a notice at the bottom to remind player to download flash 8 player, otherwise they may think the flash is screwed up.

Make the check and I'd be glad to put it up there. Otherwise the site has been updated to prompt an update before entry.
The player is required for the content I created.

yeah, I think macromedia says that every time they release a new player, the time it takes for that player to get ~80% install base is around 6 months these days... which is still a long time, albeit faster than what it used to be.
it seems like flash should at least be able to detect what version of the player you are using so that it doesn't try and load the swf unless you have the right player.
