I removed Arduino stuff and ARToolkit stuff.
Because it's difficult to execute these stuff on the browser.

Assignment #2 using external liblary
This week I tried to use OpenGL libraly.
One of them is photo viewer. here
But, pde file isn't accepted by my server. I change extention to txt
Second one is something challange for me.
In Japan, there is one of major free 3d modeling software.
/It's called "Metasequoia". http://www.metaseq.net/english/index.html
Using this toolo, Japanese creater uploaded models on the web.
Processing offical liblary has some kind of importer.
one of 3D model loader is avilable. 'OBJLoader'
But "Metasequoia" loader isn't avilable.
Metasequoia loader of C++ version, Flash version and JAVA version are avilable.
I try to transrate it for Processing.
and I built up some sample code following.
I uploaded my web site . here
But cannot execute, I cannot figure out.
So I upload ZIP file with my lib. Modeling data can access with Internet.
In this version, I confirmed to execute on the local computer.
This version, you can watch "Dokuro" model.
I'm now thinking, I upload this libraly with GPL licence to somewhere. I'mlooking for.
And ,now, I'm contacting with original code author. (Java version)

2.Development High-grade HDTV codec and producing of DTV system in Japan.

I joined the development High-grade HDTV codec.
It won a lot of Jpanese technial awards and ABU(asia broadcast union) awards
In Japan, terrestrial DTV began in 2003.
In the regulation of Japanese DTV, we have to provide HDTV with MPEG2.
But, bandwidth isn't wide, it's only about 15Mbps.
At this time, even expensive HDTV codec can reduce HDTV to around 20Mbps keeping picture quality.
We tried to develop advanced HDTV codec with NEC Corporation. We tried a lot of method.
In 2002, at last, we reached high level and more than 60% of broadcaster in Japan adopted this equipment.
At the same time of developing HDTV codec, I produced DTV systems (amount is around 10% of broadcaster in Japan) .
Especially, I leaded the team of auto program processing system and MPEG2 systems.
After finising its works. I lectured these at the seminer and workshop in Japan.
I'm sorry to be delay to introduce myself.
I'm visting scholer from Japan. I belong to TBS(Tokyo Broadcasting Systems).
TBS isn't Turner Broadcasting.....
TBS is one of the major commercial broadcaster in Japan. We have the biggest commercal terrestrial broadcasting networking in Japan. It's called JNN(Japan New Network)
Jnn are consist of 28 company. TBS is leading comnany in it.
In Us, CBS is partner. Sometimes, we cope with reporting news and making program.
In Japan, almost all of broadcater are also making Tv program with thierselves. Of cource, TBS is.
We product a lot of News, TV dramas, Music Program, Variety show , live sports programing, etc..
I'd like to introduce my past jobs in TBS(Tokyo Broadcasting Systems).

1. Mobile TV in Japan.

Recently, almost all handset have a function of recepition of terrestrial Digital Television.
This mobile DTV service is called 'One-Segu' in Japan.
About 10 years ago, we started experiment of reception DTV with Ultra High Frequency(UHF) with a lot of carrier and producter like a NTT docomo, Panasocic, Sony,,,,,.
Because now in Japan, DTV are broadcasting with UHF, we tried to use this bandwidth.
We tried a lot of things. At last, in 2006 we launced DTV service on cell phone.
Almost all of broadcaster do simulcast of terrestrial DTV which is most popular in Japan.
So, they can watch TV not only at home but also staying outside.
Now, in Japan, there are more than 38 million handset which have fuction of recepition of terrestrial Digital Television.
I heard that in the olympic games they enjoyed with cell phone in this summer.
It's service isn't only reception DTV. Of cource, handset have a communication function.
So, we added data broadcasting which based on XHTML and ECMA Script in the regulation.
These data are synchronize with DTV program and can control TV.
Using this function we can provide a lot of interactive contents.
Ex: At the quiz show, we send viewers special scripts which can take part in.
More than 20,000 people is enjoyed this program at the same time.
I joined the team of launching this services.
After begging 'One Seg', I produced a lot of interactive contents on DTV,
ex)Quiz show, sprots live, election live and etc...
'CEATEC2008' is held in Japan. now This event is similar to 'CES'.
Many of Japanese electric company (Panasonic, Sony, Hitachi.....) announce new item and future proposal before 'CES' event.
I pick up interesting item/service.
At this event, following interesting robots were announces and domonstrated.
1. Unicycle-riding robot 'Murata girl' by Murata Electronics.
She is very cute!. She is one of the most populer exhibition at CEATE2008.

This site has movie, how to separate this equipment.
It can used separately.
User can separate 2 parts. each of them comunicate with Bluetooth.
This is experiment version. It's very fun.
But I'm worried about losing one of them.

This item is excellent. we will be able to presentation with small equipment and can watch movies everywhere with many friends.
Of cource, handset have a comunication function. We can feed back our feeling immediately.
Nintendo announced New DS named 'DSi' will be shipped on November 1st in Japan.

DSi is almost the same with DS Lite.
diffrence between DS Lite and DSi is following.
LCD Size: 3inch > 3.25inch. Little bit thin.
New one have a camera unit and SD card slot..
Like Wii, DSi include DSi Store. They can download software from Nitnendo site. It's like a iPhone App Store. The software is not only games but also utilty software like a tiny-excel.
But, now, SDK isn't opened. So, I don't know everyone can make and put on Nitendo store like a Apple's App Store.
A Movie sharing site in Japan, called "Nico Nico Doga", experiment public live streaming with real-time comment,
This site is known as a similar to "You Tube". In Japan, this site is as popular as YouTube.
The future of this site is that viewer can post comment with viewing movie and see comments by other viewer immediately.
Recently, "you tube" is also added this funciton.

In a couple of week, this site challenged not only movie-sharing but also live streaming.
On Sept,24th: Baseball game (Japanese Proffesional Leage)
On Sept,30th: The meeting of thier service announcement.
(Both of them are Local time)
A lof of Japanese sites(RBB, IT Pro, Nikkei, Impress and etc) report this event but I could not find in English.
I introduce summury.

"Nico Nico Doga" experimented live streaming on thier user interface.
The number of viewer who could take part in this event in the same time were about 10,000.
It's a server spec. But technical manegaer said that until the end of year, it will be incresing upto 20,000.
They can watch streaming with real-time comment posted by the other viewer.
These examine are almost succsess.
On Sept,24th, the baseball game was broadcasted from begging to end. It tooks for 3 hours.
The uniq visiter of this event were about 40,000. And the posted comment were about 370,000.
On Sept,30th, the meeting of thier service presntation gathered over 10,000.
This meeting is only 1 hour. But the posted comment were 140,000.
The live streaming of sports program with realtime comment on the screen is first time.
Many of paticipate said they felt like a stadium seat.
They chear favorite team and boo. It's very fun!.

A live streaming isn't new one.
But, the thing, the viewer can post comment in real-time and see posted comment imediately, is very fun and very interactivity experience.
It's like back-channel chat at Wendneday Seminor.
These two event have diffrence meaning.
Live baseball was trial sharing the fun.
The meeting was trial of intaractive organaizer and viewer.
Of cource, with watching TV and using BBS or chat we can do almost the same thing.
But, In this trial, the viewer didn't have to prepare except of Internet Browser.
When they accsess this site, they can get interactive experience without preparing special tools. it is closer to in general.

Yesterday, I took part in this event.(the meeting of thier service presntation)
The presenter explain there new service, Viewers in front of the PC can post questions ,clap-hand(with character) and boo.
The cast can see these comments and change contents.
It was fun and very exciting.
