Back Alley

Finally, vacation comes. I start enjoy painting, weaving the light and story in the frame is just that rewarding. My second day on this painting. What's the story in it? A little bit ambiguous so far. We will see how it goes......

the light in this painting is an interesting study in contrast and I think you could push this to your advantage for story. The main character's posture implies a casual conversation. However, the dark glasses and masculine features make her a mysterious subject. The placement and proportion of the dark foreground head is ambiguous. I would place him higher and more dominant in the frame if he’s meant to be a threat.
