blue dots  Class Notes - Project Brainstorming

Here are my notes from our class brainstorming on a final project for Location Based Mobile Media: Maps, Games and Stories this Monday. I emailed out the Wiki URL in a separate email for further work.

Projecting prophecy on the landscape of Los Angeles (city is submerged). An audio layer of conjecture above the current landscape (see Tracking Agama, Location 33).

Guts of GPS - tiny
gumstix computers running linux

Erin - Search for a low tech solution
you record on the road, then you come back home, and you hear it?
avoiding a one-off device/construction that's hard to view/share

Jason - reactions to your path through the environments.

how to add content to a driving tour of Los Angeles. When you stopped at intersections. When you stopped moving? When you're not moving. For safety?

Encode information at the corner as a PodCast

Jessica - besides location - you can track weather, speed, signal/no signal, biometric
shoving the gear into a doll

Car mode, and exhibition mode
car mode - doll drops wisdom as you're driving around

then it gets clarity when
