MoCa Class: Writing Under the Influence

Loosen your creative mind and explore the extremes of your literary senses in this one-day intensive workshop inspired by Ecstacy: In and About Altered States. After a private tour of the exhibition, students take part in a series of surrealist games, automatic writings, and synaesthetic excercises to create their own alternative modes of expression. Bring paper and pencil.
Instructor: Maria Hummel, novelist, former MOCA editor, Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.
