"According to stories spotted on DegenkiOnline and UK Resistance, the well known King of Fighter publisher SNK will be releasing DOKIDOKI MAJOSAIBAN or Exciting Witch Trial on the Wii and DS. The object of these games is to strip and grope young women in order to detect which ones are witches or human.

"Yes, we know games similar to this are a dime a dozen in Japan and the cultural differences, but (a) This is the first time, to my knowledge, that see one from a major publisher like SNK. This is SNK! The people that went head to head with Capcom! This is not some obscure hentai game sold in some specialty markets. This is a mainstream game that will be available for import easily. (b) This is also the first time a game like this appears on the Wii, and the first perverse usage of the Wiimote as a sexual tool in a mainstream game. The significance should not go unnoticed."

More proof Japan is just bat-shit crazy.

One of my early Mac-based game experiences was a sexual one called "Mac-playmate", it was a wretched B/W 8-bit pic of a women spread eagle. It was no less "harmful" to my young mind than stumbling upon pornographic images in friends fathers Playboys etc. (no my own father isn’t like that)

It seems only natural that sex-games should hit a mainstream platform. This looks a hell of allot better than "Virtually Jenna" http://www.virtuallyjenna.com/;

Frankly I'm just surprised Nintendo was the first to budge, so often, at least in the states, the DS and Nintendo brand seems to appeal more to children. Then again, I'm not sure who else might play this game except curious adolescents.

I like the witch-hunt twist, it gives it some sense of story. This stuff is so bizarre, at least from my perspective; it reminds me of the Kentia book you brought me from Japan. Hyper-sexual bubble-gum pop.

I think more adult titles need to be out there, and by adult, I do not simply mean sexual games. I read a survey the other day that stated the average gamer was 44 and made 55k annually. So why should the market not cater to an older audience?

Not unexpected, but here is an article on the truth/lies about this title:

http://www.dsfanboy.com/2006/10/11/snk-game-is-about-witch-hunting-not-girl-hunting/

But what has been most interesting about the original articles is the reaction they got. From condemnation of Japanese culture to debates on adult content on consoles, this story revealed much about it's readers.

I would regard my comments as little more than hyperbole.

Wow. Take about disturbing content, I followed some of those links, it amazing the free time some people have on thier hands. I hope not to go to jail just for viewing some of those images.

Thanks for the great link update. It appears that we have been had by the blogosphere.

I would be interested, now, to see what the actual game looks like, aside from shots of the Main-menu. ;)
