Mobile Brainstorm
First of all, thank you to Will for fixing my blog, and I apologize for the repetitive posts as a result. I guess they got trapped somewhere, and of course I kept trying to repost after the error messages came up, so there you go. Maybe I'll erase them soon.
Just wanted to put out a brainstorm, in response to the subject Kurt mentioned in class today of laptops being a possible mobile device. There are already public WiFi spaces in NYC; Julian mentioned the one in City Hall, and there is also one in Bryant Park. In the summer, HBO sponsors a free summer outdoor movie festival in Bryant Park.
Anyways, putting two and two together, many people bring their laptops to take advantage of the WiFi system as they wait for the film to begin, since typically you have to arrive approx. five hours before hand to get a good spot on the lawn. This venue might be a good place to try out a public game before the film, and maybe you could even get HBO behind it! Well, maybe it doesn't qualify as mobile inheterently, but it could qualify as fun, so I thought I would throw it out there.
