Mobile Brainstorm

First of all, thank you to Will for fixing my blog, and I apologize for the repetitive posts as a result. I guess they got trapped somewhere, and of course I kept trying to repost after the error messages came up, so there you go. Maybe I'll erase them soon.

Just wanted to put out a brainstorm, in response to the subject Kurt mentioned in class today of laptops being a possible mobile device. There are already public WiFi spaces in NYC; Julian mentioned the one in City Hall, and there is also one in Bryant Park. In the summer, HBO sponsors a free summer outdoor movie festival in Bryant Park.

Anyways, putting two and two together, many people bring their laptops to take advantage of the WiFi system as they wait for the film to begin, since typically you have to arrive approx. five hours before hand to get a good spot on the lawn. This venue might be a good place to try out a public game before the film, and maybe you could even get HBO behind it! Well, maybe it doesn't qualify as mobile inheterently, but it could qualify as fun, so I thought I would throw it out there.

MIA in NYC

Hey, all. Things have been crazy here working on this play. We got mentioned on a number of conservative radio programs, such as Rush Limbaugh's, and have been fending off death threats and press inquiries ever since. All in all, it's been really exciting and I can't wait to tell you all the stories, and we haven't even opened yet!

Here's a link to the press release online.

Summer in the City

Hey all, sorry I've been MIA in NYC. Things have been crazy here getting the show ready for it's opening next Tues! What show, you might ask? Here's a link to a listing.

The update:
We were resting lazily, getting swept up in all the political fever that is brewing around here, until yesterday when apparently Rush Limbaugh mentioned us on his show (sill searching for a link to it, if anyone else can find it), and then we should up on www.drudgereport.com. We've been responding to inquiries from other stations and from concerned citizens ever since.

If you google the title of the play, or just the playwright's name, you get all sorts of links to the press release, but also to a few conservative bloggers (check www.sayanything.com) who express their opnions on the show. Go bloggers!
