GAME DAY POST MORTEM!!!

HOLLEEE CRAP.

So here I was... sitting alone in the IML, wondering if people were going to show up. I was beginning to think that I may have been stood up when, from outta nowhere, the flood gates opened and there was an amazing turn out!

I want to thank everyone that showed up to play. I had a freakin' blast, and I hope it was a feeling shared by all. :) I hope that we can do something like this again (early next January mayhaps? :D )

I'm curious, to all that showed, was there anything you'd like different for the next iteration? Some things pitched were holding it in the ZML (for more screens, but not much in the sound department, not likely to play any LAN games, and a built in stopping time of when the Zemekis building closes), some other games set up on the PCs (DefCon, Scorched Earth...), and pizza. I'm interested in having this be a thing where it happens at the beginning and at the end of the semester (before everything gets crazy and after everything ends to unwind).

Any thoughts? For those that invited people that don't view the blog, please ask them what they thought and post their responses, or, better yet, have them post :D

Game Day 12/03/06 REMINDER

Yup, it's me again. I thought it would be a good idea to post a reminder on the main page about GAME DAY '06!

Here's the plan. Festivities will begin at noon on Sunday, 12/03/06. I will be getting there early to set up a Wii and Guitar Hero 2. I have already installed F.E.A.R. Combat on all the pods if anyone is interested. I will also be bringing Guitar Hero 1, Wii Sports, and Red Steel. I have had people tell me that they will be bringing an Xbox 360 with Gears of War and Dead Rising, and DefCon. There has even been talk of a PS3...

We will be having a Wii Bowling Tournament (rules to be announced tomorrow) with a $5 buy in, WINNER TAKE ALL.

Bring your DSs, any multiplayer games for Xbox 360, PS2, PC and/or Wii you want to play, and extra Wii controllers with your Miis on them would be nice ;) If you want to play a LAN game, it might be a good idea to bring a set of head phones. We have a few in the lab, but not necessarily enough for everyone.

Sustenance:
I currently have no ideas for food. As many of you know, there are some places close by to go when you get hungry, but it might be nice to have something set up, just in case. Bistangos will deliver if necessary.

Oh yeah, one more thing.

If someone can bring a TV or a projector... there will be one more system than things to use it with.
