Just so you all know I'm not slacking (and neither are my artists!)...

This is a shot of some of the textures and two of the characters as static meshes. They aren't moveable, this is just to get the scaleing correct. So far, pretty good, although the new mesh (Mr. Jangles) is a bit too high in tri's, he's about 500 over. Gonna have to change that.

feels claustophobic to me. although I guess tents will do that. I also have a hard time envisioning what the middle dude (mr. jangles) is going to look like from the models -- I guess most of it will be color, which seems to be the easiest way to get the feeling that you are going for.
although the lack of irony is rather surprising...confusing my brain...

I like the small space - especially since this is the first level(will their be other locals? maybe upgrade to bigger tents?). For the performative aspect you want to achieve, I think it's good to choose intimate spaces that force the characters to interact with each other. Too many of these games have huge arenas you get lost in, from Goldeneye to Twisted Metal. Me likeee the tent!

hrm, I guess maybe it's the scale of the block objects vs. the rest of the space...

Good points made by all
1. The scale is still a bit of an issue as there are several objects that have not made there way into the scene. I will put in the next two smaller sized blocks as well as the correct clown barrels.
2. The major issue here is that the size of the arena will affect gameplay. I agree and disagree about it's current state. I think it is a bit small for the interactions that are going to take place, but it certainly can't get much bigger or we do lose the ability to keep it intimate. It should be interesting to see how those little scenarios play out (I'm talking specifically about how people help/detract from one another).
3. Very close to getting the multiplayer functioning, just a couple more things to iron out. We also now have our own GUI!!!! No more nasty UT2004 gui!
