NTN and Bar Trivia

Based on some stuff we talked about in 482 today:

During the holiday break, a lot of my friends spend time at a restaurant/bar called, "Buffalo Wild Wings." Website here. Something that I didn't realize, but they have incorporated a version of trivia that is actually a lot more interesting and dynamic than anything else I have seen strapped to a bar or slapped in an arcade style cabinet. Hosted by NTN trivia networks, this barfly trivia game is time based and pits players against other players per location, but also boasts location vs. location based games and score comparisons. The system is deployed using smallish (still pretty heavy) blue wireless modules that act as portable answer units. The questions, trivia and scores are all broadcasted over a television feed (live) in the bar. Players can also sign up and keep track of their scores through a dedicated login/account. I believe that the casual gamer can play for free, as we have never been charged before. To bad I can't keep track of my terrible score without paying. I'll see if I can't post pictures of the units sometime.
