Here's a transcript of the backchannel chat from today's seminar. didn't get to liveblog it because i chose to googlejockey instead. There's so many buzzwords in that sentence that i feel like puking.

Tonight's speaker was very interesting. Associated with the BBC, she talked about the growing interest in major corporations for new technology and new modes of thinking. Cool stuff, and good to hear that the beeb is thinking about this kind of stuff. Loads better than the fearmongering Fox News does with myspace and the foley-page debacle. Just wish she would have talked about her days playing quake. But i think i'm alone in that. :/

I did get to ask a question about privacy concerns, and got an answer that was more than adequate considering a lot of the prevailing attitudes towards datacollection and privacy on the internet. Fun stuff.

I may be coffee'd out of my head, but i am still very excited about my remix project. Turns out i had one of those last-second epiphanies that totally changed the direction of my project. And i have to shout about it. But what is this change? You'll have to wait and see.

and it turns out that a pot of coffee late at night will increase productivity, but decrease sleeptivity.

aaaaanyways, i've gone nuts.

So it's approaching Thanksgiving time, and i thought it would be quite nice if people arranged carpools to the airport/destinations. Also, if anyone is in the San Jose bay area around that time, we should get together...

Kurosh Valanejad has a piece in a show that's opening this weekend. The show, Modern Heretics, is opening Saturday the 28th from 7 to 9. Themes and artwork might be risque, but that makes art all the more fun.
