These answers only represent the current state of my work, and are subject to change on a whim...
i am questioning humanity in its opposition and ambivalence to evil.
because i am trying to question whether players identify with the humanity of their avatar
in order to engage my audience in an examination of morality that has not been explored in videogames thus far
-or-
i am exploring the effect that customization has on play and style
because i am trying to find out how players will weigh the benefits and consequences of their avatar's humanity
in order to allow my players to consider what effects technology has on humanity

Something about your tone makes me think you have a narrative in mind, Mike... I'd love to hear it. Is As Flesh Dies is making a return in some form?

I have come to love the form of the narrative, much more so than when i joined this program. I think that i can never truly abandon zombies, they are in my blood. :D

I think there are interesting combinations between the two sets here. "Customization" could mean so many things, but here the obvious implication would mean body-modification, a la the eternally "coming soon" Too Human or some of your earlier projects, like As Flesh Dies.
There's also an interesting connection to Andre's "good vs. evil" theme running here as well.
