Cool gameplay video of a Mario mod. Of course, it doesn't look like there is much challenge once these tweaks are added, but it still looks like fun. There are several interesting emergent behaviors just a few small tweaks motivate.
I guess this stands out to me because its the kind of design you can do when you really tear into the code. I suppose it fits into the theme of finding my voice as a designer. Also, I think Super Mario World stands out as one of the more beautiful things humanity has created.

It seems Mountian Dew (?) is sponsoring a design contest to win free GDC main passes. That sentence alone would be enough to get me into Uma Thurman Kill Bill ready to pounce aggressive eye zoom in with music mode. There are 20 passes and considering our division is full of the best game designers in the world...
