You've made a game which could be called a bullet hell shmup. But then you've made the control all weird (ball bounces funny), which makes the act of intricately maneuvering through the gunfire more difficult than it needs to be... which is annoying, not rewarding.

Also, by just letting go, it seems to have reached static equilibrium pretty easily... find a sweet spot, stop getting shot.

Not bad though. Quick, compelling. Wish I had a score or something to reward me for not getting shot. Or maybe something ot bump the risk, like the ball grows? Pretty fun though.

By Michael Silverman:

* Add high score in upper left.
* Touching the wall doesn't add to score.
* On hit, score for the round is shown.
* New high score is a red flash.

Anonymous: Thanks for the feedback. I was already working on the score when you posted, I didn't think I would get anything so quickly. Also, I've set it up to play with the sizes of various things changing and so on. I may do a variant with wasd controls or just having it move to the mouse exactly. I'm still thinking about the equilibrium problem.

Is there a quick way to restart (removes all current bullets). In a game that depends on accuracy, the random ball bouncing is a lil annoying.

By Michael Silverman:

* Add tail to "ship."
* If you stop moving, you shoot towards the wall.
* Time Skip - Time slows as you near bullets. **STILL WIP**
* Score count-up in BG. (Score isn't selectable.)

* Add BGM loop.

Nice game.

There's a safe spot if you move the ship to the edge of the circle. When the bullets appear to come out of the center front of the ship. None of the bouncing bullets will hit the ship on the edge. The specific spot I found was at 240-255 degrees. (the 0 degree starts from the far right side of the circle)

Unless of course, the goal of the game was to find safe spots like this?

I look forward to seeing more of your rapid prototypes.

Nice game... surprisingly addictive! The small adjustments, such as freezing the score at the edge and making a non-moving ship shoot at the nearest wall, are good touches that nerf otherwise dominant behaviors. It was a lot of fun trying to get into the zone. I'd second Logan's call for a bullet wipe. I'm curious... how long are people able to stay alive in this? My best was 1422.
