We’re assuming you’re all hard at work cooking something up for the 511 presentation Wednesday eve, so our next class Thursday will be entirely presentation by us and discussion by you. Here’s the plan:
1. Brief Debrief of last week’s presentations
2. Schedule for rest of term
3. Discuss Thesis Proposal formats and requirements
4. Choose dates for presentation
5. (Time permitting) an in-class exercise
See you Thursday @ Noon.
You are primarily expected to get started on your Midterm Assignments, Part 1 & 2.
"Lite (but real)" assignment for next week: Methods of Organization
Be prepared to share your archive and compare organization strategies and tips.
Please find 3 people inside USC (but outside IMD) that may be helpful for your thesis project. These people may be faculty teaching a particular class, lab directors, PhD students whose dissertations are relevant, etc.
You may wish to start by Googling relevant keywords but confining searches to “usc.edu” (Domain option under Advanced Search). You may end up with a department or center. Keep going. This assignment is to end up with people who may be helpful to you as you proceed.
Please be prepared to give a short (6 min) presentation on your 3 finds, including brief bios and why they are relevant to you.
