Good show, people!
It was great to see so many Interactive Mediates coming out to Hangar 1018 Sunday night. Thank you to all who attended.
I had a wonderful time myself, and the rest of you seemed to share that sentiment, which I was pleased to see.
From a couple of bits of conversations I was able to squeeze in, I got a feeling that injecting more of that event/party energy is something that we in the IMD could definitely benefit from - a goal that I would like to encourage in any way possible.
Marc has suggested having monthly showings at his space, which I am all for, and I would add that events such as icomplex or shows at Hangar 1018 are also venues which would be more than happy to exhibit our works or aid us in conducting whatever hare-brained media experiments we might concoct.
Talking about fun in a classroom is one thing, and entirely valid, but to see it in motion, evolving and crafting itself through the combined experience of many, is a much larger experience, and a truer vision into the nature of what it is we are striving to evoke.

icomplex put on another great show, and it was indeed good to see a nice mix of the IMD present. As far as exhibiting goes, I'd love to see us showing work at either venue. We just have to get creative with our time and resources, but let's get our work out there! In my experience last year in Perry's class (Experiments in Interactivity) we were creating a lot of work that was exhibitable as well as performances, and I would imagine things will be similar this spring semester for you second years. But we don't have to wait. We could even resurrect some of the work from our Experiments class. The ZML is becoming rigid with more and more people doing dedicated thesis work in there, but we should try and make something work with what extra equipment we have.
