The table of contents I posted last week is getting refined, but I finally feel like I have a solid direction I am heading in. Some more major changes were made, and I plan to post those this weekend.
The Tower is constructed and inhabited by machines. The internal "feel" of the Tower is thusly very sterile, machine based, and defined by sharp edges and clear definition. It feels very "grid-based," well-structured, work-oriented.

Outside the Tower is the world where the machines dream of being human. Where the internals of the tower are electronic and sterile, the outside is organic. Stone walls lined with ivy and moss comprise the borders of the tower, while along the outsides of the tower are "gardens" that extend away from the tower itself, over the ground far below and out into the sky. Clouds sweep around the tower, and some gardens may be above or below cloud cover. It is designed to feel organic, free, full of possibility. It is high on saturation and features sweeping vistas, trees, flowers, and plenty of natural beauty. It's a world of imagination.
