Is a clever use of perspective in image # 2, or is this really that gigantic? Are you gonna be able to fit this mother in the ZML?

Alas, Jamie, it is not as huge as image #2 may make it appear. One person can carry it, in fact! It's roughly two feet tall.

Interesting Matrix-like ... matrix. I'd like to see an interior of the tower where the user's avatar travels, to get a sense of the architecture and obstacles to traversal. Also, it'd help to see a representation of the avatar to get a sense of scale and the affordances of the avatar (e.g., walking versus flying).
