The Anti-Presentation

As it stands, my thesis is mainly about:
- How it feels to put on a piece of historical clothing
- How it feels to move around in a piece of historical clothing
- How it feels to do everyday physical tasks wearing a piece of historical clothing
- Empathy with historical figures

I describe this project as an Immersive Participatory Costume Experience. As such, this project is NOT:

- Exhibitionary
- It is not about putting on a show
- It is not about how it feels to be seen by others

- Spectatorial
- It is not about watching or observing (except through instructionary presentation)

- Dress-up
- It is not about fantasy
- It is not about the full outfit

- Photo-Op/Teleport
- It is not about role-playing
- It is not about "being there"/VR (It IS about "being in there" - it's not about avoiding anachronism)
