IMD Forum for 8/23/06: IMD Summer Update

To kick off the 06-07 year, the first IMD Forum will introduce new members of the IMD community and attempt to catch up with the numerous IMD activities that have occured since last semester.
Highlights will include updates on IMD presentations,installations, and memorable experiences at events such as:

As I stated before the beginning of the seminar, I manage both the class contact list and the mailing lists for our program. Please send me your email address(es) for the contact list and the address you want on the mailing lists, as well as your phone number, IM handle... whatever you want on the contact list. It is posted on our intranet (I will tell you where that is when you email me) and is not indexed by web crawlers.
As far as the mailing lists are concerned, we have a General and Student list (on which everyone is) and four other specialized lists (VR, Mobile, Games, and Arts) that tend to have less traffic, but posts are more focused on specific topics...
