I earned my B.A. in Music & Computer Science from Columbia University, and have designed games for Microsoft Studios, Disney Online Studios, and Gameloft. Last year I was a lead on Quicksilver, a USC Advanced Game Project. In a mixture of hard work and dumb luck, my game Din was featured alongside games such as Minecraft and World of Goo in IndieGames.com's "250 Indie Games You Must Play". I am now working on my thesis, The Moonlighters http://moonlightersgame.com

If they released a small device you could attach to the current glasses you use, I’d think that would have much less of a barrier to entry than requiring people to purchase separate glasses. Ski goggles though – I’d wear those around every day anyway. :P

You mean that game about the alien that clings to your skin and takes over your brain wasn’t about Scientology?

I could see the ’church’ of Scientology going for that.

I can definitely see there being AR ski goggles. You could combine it with that mechanic in Demons’ Souls where you can see how other people did on previous runs. Probably wouldn’t implement it as blood stains, though…

it seems like there is some potential in screens being able to ”read” and ”respond” to one another…

Yeah, that was amazing. I thought we were still in the age of finicky QR code-like markers to triangulate 3D space. This has so much potential.

It’s been a long time since I actually felt genuinely blown away by a tech demo shown in the seminar >_<

Ooh, very cool. Side note, those commercials were liars, my K’Nex *never* snapped together that easily.

Kind of funky… The Xbox 1 had a dedicated processor for audio. The 360 doesn’t.

Thankfully, it’s a still image, so we can’t tell if the black plastic is pulsating.
