Playtesting Volunteers Needed, 4/3 & 4/5 4-6PM

The 484 Intermediate Games class will be holding usability tests of their game projects on Monday 4/3 and Wednesday 4/5 from 4-6PM in the GIL usability lab. We're looking for playtesters to come in and help us test the usability of these projects.

If you're interested and available for a half-hour slot in the time frame mentioned above, please email Tracy and let me know what time works best for you. Also, because these are usability tests, we need players who have not already seen and/or played these games, so if you've already tested or played one or more of these games, please let me know so I don't schedule you for that time period.

We really hope you can participate, it will be a big help!

Last Minute BBQ Invite: Sunday March 25, 2PM - ??

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to have a little BBQ at my house tomorrow and you are all welcome to come. We’re starting early – around 2PM to try and catch a little sun if it comes out but will keep on going until we can’t play Guitar Hero any more …

I’m going to be putting some chicken and fish on the grill, but you’re welcome to bring anything else that appeals to you. Hope to see some of you there!

Mobile Game Mosh at Parsons

Mobile Game Mosh Prizes

As Mihai blogged the other day, Parson's had a 24-hour Mobile Game Mosh last weekend and since I was in the city, I went over at about 10PM as part of the "late night playtesting." It turned out that even by midnight it was too early for playtesting, but we were able to talk to all the groups and (hopefully) help a little with their process. You can check out all my pix from the event at flickr.

There were 11 teams from universities all around the country -- most teams broght 4-5 people. All I can say is -- how come we didn't have a team there??? Next time we should make an effort to send a group. It looked like a really great experience.
