Blog blog blog! Completed the core segment of Panopticon. It has had absolutely no beta testing, so I cringe to think what other people will discover when toying with it. If I had three more hours, I would try to make the introduction and end a little more interactive. Due to time I reduced a lot of the exposition to simple text. In the end I would like the player to walk through such narrative devices.
But I suppose this way is easier, which is why so many games (and movies) draw upon text in such a way as to have it stick out like a sore thumb. Not that I have anything against text per se, but sometimes it's as bad as having someone talking while you try and watch a movie/play a game.
We'll see if this is such an example very, very soon.
