grouphug

i dont like posting random links. i think, for the most part, link lists are a waste. but this is such a great idea that i wish i had thought of. a perfect use of technology and a firghtening result.

There used to be a 1-900 telephone service (called "I Confess") along exactly the same lines - you could call one number to confess and another to listen to someone else's confession.

It was morbidly fascinating, just like grouphug, but as I remember there was a higher percentage of really scary confessions.

So I guess I'd make the point that this idea isn't specific to the net, it simply requires some medium that allows a public forum for anonymous submissions.

Compelling nonetheless.
