Comments: mogwai: remix this album
On the other side of the IP coin, using software from Beatnik, Trent Reznor had an online re-mix contest for his song “The Big Comedown” off the album “The Fragile”. You could remix the song, save your settings, and submit them for Trent's judgment and a chance to win I think an autographed guitar. No way to readily download the content though.
It was a lot of fun because many of the songs off that album are packed with a huge number of tracks -- everything from beats and rhythm, to faint background noises. So each time you remixed the song, you could come up with a radically different result.
