I like the sound of the user contributed 2nd layer. This maybe a side track but, what would be really interesting is allowing the users position to mix between spacially located sound logs.
It would be really awesome if the track on the 1st tier was a MIDI track without preassigned voices, it could draw from the users nodal postings to create an "organic" soundscape compostion that was collectively built.
