I think the idea is great -- it seems more like a almost serialized playback of media. like, you capture some stuff, receive some things from people, and then you can mix it quickly and show it to people -- or maybe even send it or upload it. I think the forgone conclusion with this stuff is that we're going to throw away some flexibility in the authoring tools in order to make content creation a more consumer thing. I'm working on a similar thing at work with camera phones, hopefullly for next-gen devices with larger storage / flash cards.
