Blip.TV

Talking to Bay Area indie media maker Ryan Junell about portable video, and he mentions Blip.tv as a good free place for video hosting. What about OurMedia.org, I ask him? They review all the videos, it takes a few days he said. Not good for quick turn around.

Comments

That's not exactly right. If you upload through Ourmedia.org, it *should* be live immediately. Ourmedia uses the Internet Archive for storage. If you upload *directly* to the Internet Archive, it can take days to appear.

Your readers may also want to know that they can air their short videos free of charge (and, make a few bucks) on mFlix, which is the first channel selected by Sprint for indie mobile videos on their extensive mobile phone network. The mFlix channel is also aired on demand in the UK, on O2 (the largest mobile operator there), as well as in virtually all other parts of the world.
